Longtime Listener - Still a Favorite Podcast!
Have been listening to this podcast for years, and it’s still one of my all time favorite shows to hear. Great content from a unique perspective, glad they seem to have gotten their Apple download issue worked out. I was so disappointed when I thought the show had ended!
Culture war conservatives' "On the Media"
The show is fine if you want to hear conservative christians repeat their grievances week in and week out. Occasionally they break new ground, but Mattingly in particular repeats himself often. Show needs either the hosts to critique their own side or add a host with a different perspective to mix it up.
Great Podcast, a Little Myopic
Great religious journalism podcast, Terry Mattingly has a well-informed opinion. That being said the podcast can be overly focused on covering the same takes on abortion rights issues and religious liberty issues and the same criticisms of NYT religion coverage. Does a great job covering religion in politics though, the coverage around Catholic voters and Amy Coney Barret was particularly compelling. Wish that they didn’t exclusively cover Christian news stories
