CHARLES AL-HAYEK: Lebanon's History, Heritage & Roots | Sarde (after dinner) Podcast #29 Sarde After Dinner Podcast

    • Society & Culture

We had a Sarde with Charles al-Hayek, historian and researcher, working on bringing Lebanese and Arabic cultural heritage on social media.

After our little pit stop in Dubai, we came back to Lebanon and delved deep into our heritage and roots with historian Charles Al Hayek
The Lebanese’s relationship to their history is… complicated, and in this sarde Charles broke down for us common myths and legends ranging from the Phoenicians, Fakhreddine, the history of Shias in Lebanon, the origins of hummus and so much more!
History is neither boring, sacred or serious... It can be super fun!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be a wild one.
