Taliban always referred to as ‘islamists’ on BBC

Why does the BBC constantly use the the word ‘Islamist’ to describe terrorism or extreme ideologies? Then why not call far-right killers ‘Christianist? Please stop misrepresenting an entire religion for the extreme actions of a few!
