Let Them Ridicule You Obert Manyanye (Corporate Doctor)

    • Entrepreneurship

Sometimes we need those people who kick us in the butt for us to jump really high. Sometimes we need those people who despise us for who we are today so that we may focus our energies on who we are capable of becoming.

Sometimes we need those people who look down upon us to realise that we don't need them to see the whole new world ahead of us. Oftentimes we need those people who spend their time gossiping about us, speaking bad us and laughing at us, so that we may have more time to achieve much bigger, and by the time they realise how far we had gone, and how far they have been left behind, even in their very own lane, it will be too late for them to catch up with us.

And even if we would slow down to make them believe they have caught up with us , they will be too weak, breathing heavily and sweating so much that they will not even see how far we have reached. At that moment they will see only a glimpse of who we have become and they again start gossiping, dispising us, mocking us and all that. They will actually have no time to do anything meaningful for themselves whilst we are busy chasing our dreams.

People are people. They must be allowed to ridicule us, despite us, look down upon us, and in that way, they don't have time to do nothing meaningful for themselves. We keep building a bigger gap between us and them. Soon they will come to us asking for help. Dream on, dream on
