I would look at my friends who had older sister and I was jealous of their relationship. I thought their sisters were so cool. I woke up one day and was like I am that cool older sister. I have all the wisdom to impart on my sister and other girls out in the world. I hope that my life experience will help other girls as well as my sister if she will ever listen to me.

Think about everything I learned and home I have grown this year. It was a big year for me. I am happy my year may make your year better! A little bit about myself is that I am a nineteen-year-old woman who is working to become a social worker. I am a university student, a volunteer, a child and youth worker and working to become the best version of myself. I am a lifestyle vlogger and video maker trying to spread joy during this time. Just a Girl sharing her life with the internet. Who talks about her boyfriend way too much to be healthy. My inspiration comes from the videos that I like to see online. Trying to post every day during this quarantine so if you don’t like this video you may like tomorrows video.

How I turn being I’m motivated into motivation

How I turn being I’m motivated into motivation

I used to be super unmotivated. Especially halfway through quarantine I didn’t want to do anything. I found that doing things that had a due date motivated me to continue to start projects. To do things that I told myself that I didn’t have time to do that I made excuses for. A little bit about myself is that I am a nineteen-year-old woman who is working to become a social worker. SELF CARE FOR QUARANTINE AND BEYOND

I have been really thinking about what I should be doing to take care of myself during this stressful time! I have found some ways that work for me! That I have done that have translated into the rest of my life. This is what works for me I don’t want to say that these are what you should be doing. Everyone is different and you need to be doing things that work for you.

I love you all and I hope that non of you have felt the hate that I felt towards myself and my body. I am sending all my love and support out to you people! I want to be able to protect you from those feelings but unfortunately I am unable too❤️

Being not a racist is not enough!

Being not a racist is not enough!

There are so many books, movies and podcast about the black experience and history

The New Jim Crow: Mass incarceration in the Age of Colour Blindness by Michelle Alexander

The podcasts that I have begun to listen too are:
    1619
    About Race
    Code Switch (NPR)
    Pod Save the People
    Momentum: race Forward podcast

The Tv show and movies that I will be watching to educate myself:
    13th
    American Son
    Black power mixtape
    Clemency
    Dear white people

Right now, it is important that we pay attention to the news and what is happening in our world.
I’ll vote for politicians that share my values to promote equality and inclusivity. When we all vote towards people who support these values. We are very powerful when we all come together to support this group to create change in our society.
Speaking up when I hear people using oppressive language. Letting your friends know that they have been using language that was offensive to others. Starting with having the conversation with your friends and family. Working to be an ally for those who are a part of this community
I'm far from being able to be all high and mighty. I’m not perfect at being ally and we are all learning how to become better people and a better more inclusive society. I’m going to be trying, learning and failing. Constructive criticism is always helpful. The last thing I would like to do.
