Our episode starts with a deep dive into Netflix’s Latinx series Gentefied (1:09) and the reality of having to choose between family, community, and your own aspirations. We draw from our own experiences as we discuss the multi-faceted Latinx experience and, at times, feeling like an outsider within our own culture.

In our LatinXcellence segment, we talk Rafael Garcia’s promotion to Vice President, Original Series Development at Disney (32:24) and Bad Bunny’s advocacy for the LGBTQ community and women’s empowerment in his new “Yo Perreo Sola” music video (35:02).
