This week, we explore Almudena's creative journey, from her earliest creative memories of playing with food as a child to her current endeavours as a professional artist. Almudena shares with us the ups and downs of her journey, including her struggles to navigate the education system and find her place in the art world.

This week we chat about our experience with Derek Hunt learning some new glass painting skills and techniques. Derek is a renowned traditional glass conservator with over 38 years experience. Hello and welcome to "Frit, Fire and the Feminine" first podcast. We are, Helen Grierson and Almudena Rocca. We are a mother-and-daughter artist duo that brings you a podcast about all things arty, creative and nurturing. Helen is a self-taught glass artist with over 20 years of experience behind her and as a former teacher found her love for glass later in life. Almudena went to art school and has been carving a creative career over the past 4 years since graduating. While Almudena's work explores intuition and mental health, Helen is currently exploring the expansive journey of ageing.
