He shares with us his life story - growing up in a secular Jewish family in Argentina, migrating to Canada, and connecting more deeply to the Jewish faith. The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women will mark the launch of the UNiTE campaign (Nov 25- Dec 10) — an initiative of 16 days of activism concluding on the day commemorating International Human Rights Day. On this episode of Global Frequencies, we sat with ANC’s Geraldine Ankrah - Project Coordinator of SEA (Support Empower Access). She walks us through the shocking still-existing prevalence of gender-based abuse and violence, in particular, how refugee and migrant women are at an increased risk and what we can do about it here at home.
