I stumbled across Alma Mauve a couple of years ago when browsing sustainable fashion brands on Instagram, eventually learning that a brilliant and kind woman named Chanice was organizing operations. Naturally, as Womxn's History Month approached, I reached out to Chanice to ask her some questions about sustainable fashion practices, personal and professional challenges, and what the future of genderless sustainable fashion looks like at Alma Mauve. I caught up with Doneze to chat about motivation, self-referential inspiration, and life lessons for success. The young rapper, signed in Atlanta, has brushed shoulders with various artists around the globe. Always focusing on new projects and managing multiple streams of income, Doneze explains the importance of hard work and focus, as well as the benefits of spending time alone - despite being a social person geared towards connecting with others. On top of that, we chatted about how music and empathy impact the medical field, a space that Doneze hopes to occupy as a doctor in the near future. 

Active since 1995, Drew Atlas has opened for prominent names like Usher, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Russell Peters, Mos Def, and Common, while also hosting CJSW, Power107 and Vibe985. After nearly 30 years in the entertainment industry, Drew caught up with me to chat about what his life looks like now and how things have changed over the last few decades. Reflecting on racist stereotypes in music, representation, and leadership, he shares what he learned as a Black man within the creative industry, while also considering how his experiences impact his role as a father. Finally, after all those years brushing shoulders with stars, he shares the best advice he ever received from Russel Peters.

After chatting with Taylor, we learned that sometimes we hurt others because we have to and that we might be unaware of the conflicts that we carry.
