International LGBTQ rights organisation Rainbow Riots presents Rainbow Riots Radio, a web radio series in ten unique shows, exploring queer stories, culture and history from around the world; including Sweden, Uganda, Jamaica, India, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Australia and Germany.Rainbow Riots Radio is hosted and presented by the Rainbow Riots' founder, Swedish artist and activist Petter Wallenberg. Each episode mixes engaging stories, investigative journalism, and spoken word poetry, backed by specially composed music created by Petter and featuring his guests.Petter Wallenberg said: “This is both a radio show and a musical collaboration with some of the people I have met during my travels to fight for LGBT rights worldwide. Danger, drama and resilience - it’s all here. Rainbow Riots Radio connects our queer stories across continents and cultures and gives voice to those who are often silenced.”

Episode 9: Sydney’s dark gay history:
Australia’s gay capital Sydney has a dark history. There was a time when gay men were being violently bashed and murdered. The police did nothing, so a group of leather lesbians decided to get on their motorcycles to patrol and protect their gay brothers. Shannon Power talks to their leader, Nora Savona, about how they saved many gay men from homophobic violence.

Episode 8: A poem about a lesbian’s fear in Jamaica
Rainbow Riots' founder Petter Wallenberg meets London based lesbian poet Andreena Leanne who was born in Jamaica. On a recent visit she found that the island’s notorious homophobia cast a dark shadow over the place of her childhood memories. The episode ends with Wallenberg's musical piece based on Leanne's poem.

Episode 5: Africa's first openly gay reverend
Rainbow Riots’ founder Petter Wallenberg meets Nigerian Jide Macauley, Africa's first openly gay reverend. Jide explains how he, in spite of death threats, believes being a gay Christian means that ”God Adores You". The episode ends with Wallenberg's and Macauley's musical collaboration based on Jide's poem.

Episode 4: The queer heroes of Uganda
Rainbow Riots' founder Petter Wallenberg takes us to Kampala, Uganda, where we meet trans woman Alicia Houston and hear her story about her life as a sex worker living with HIV. We also meet lesbian activist Kowa Tigs who recently got arrested and evicted. Both of them fight against oppression using creativity, and the episode ends with Wallenberg's musical collaboration with Kowa.
