Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching (FACET) is a community of Indiana University (IU) faculty members who are committed to being—and helping others to be—exceptional educators. FACET strives to further IU’s teaching mission by helping faculty explore new teaching methods, advance the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and connect with each other to form a university-wide network for teaching excellence. All of this enables them to focus on their ultimate goal: helping students learn.

Dr. Paul Hanstedt is the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Innovation at University of Minnesota Rochester. Hanstedt is a nationally recognized leader in teaching and learning innovation. His recent books include, "Creating Wicked Students: Designing Courses for a Complex World" and "General Education Essentials: A Guide for College Faculty."
