This week in the Screening Room, co-hosts Cortlyn Kelly and Kaveh Jalinous launch their newest series, Flashbacks, where they each recommend a certain number of films from each decade. For the first episode, the two explore the 1940s, first discussing major themes and moments of the decade in cinema before pivoting to recommending four films each. Before that, the two briefly discuss George Miller's new film, 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.'

In the second episode of their 'Retrospectives' series, hosts Kaveh Jalinous and Cortlyn Kelly tackle the queen of rom-coms herself: Nancy Meyers. Exploring her six features as a director, the two talk through Meyers' methods of making films, her auteurism and the friendly feelings/complex emotions evoked by her characters and stories. They also get distracted... a lot.

With their special guest Zachary Lee, the three each pick six movies–based on certain criteria–attempting to craft a list that they believe will make the most money at the box office.
