In our continuing trip down memory lane of 100 seasons of Murray State Football, we look back to an amazing play by MSU Hall of Famer Walter Powell. In 2012, as he was building a resume that led to him being an NFL Draft selection, Powell stunned SEMO with a 100-yard punt return for a touchdown. Also in news of the week from the Racers, we catch up with 400M Hurdles star, Cheby Melvin, as she represents Murray State at the USA Track & Field Trials.

This week we continue our celebration of 100 seasons of Murray State Football with the 62-yard field goal by Paul Hickert in 1986. Now 38 seasons later and Hickert's awesome kick remains the Racers' program and OVC record. Plus the news of the week from Murray State Athletics including the anticipation of Ja Morant's MSU Hall of Fame night at Racer Hoopalooza on July 27.

This fall is Murray State's 100th football season and their 52nd at Roy Stewart Stadium. MSU Hall of Famer, Don Clayton and teammates share their memories of the day the stadium opened with a game against Western Carolina in 1973. Plus we catch up with Meghan Fletcher and Chelby Melvin of MSU Track & Field as they ended their seasons in Eugene, Oregon at the NCAA Finals.

This week we continue our celebration of 100 seasons of Murray State Football with an amazing accomplishment by quarterback Butch Mosby in 1993. Plus, MSU's Meghan Fletcher and Chelby Melvin prep for an appearance at the NCAA Track & Field Finals in Eugene, Oregon. 

Butch Mosby is a former Racer quarterback who played for Coach Houston Nutt in his first season at Murray State 1993. Before he played six seasons of football in Germany and enjoyed a short career as a rapper, where he had a following in Europe and the middle east, Mosby set the FCS record for completing his first 19 passes in a win at UT Martin. He wasn’t around when Coach Houston Nutt’s team realized greatness in the 1995 and 1996 season, but Butch was there for the start of it and those times are still with him today. 

On the program this week we recap Meghan Fletcher and Chelby Melvin as they advance to the NCAA Track & Field Finals for the Racers. Plus a great baseball of 37 wins comes to an end for the Racers at the MVC Championship. In our celebration of 100 years of Racer Football, how did Murray State beat Louisville 105-0?
