Leia Antunes fell in love with the dance of ballet from a very young age, getting accepted into Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Professional Division at the age of 13. She was immersed into the graceful, poised and beautiful world of ballet, but her lifelong dream of becoming a professional ballerina was met with strict dance schedules, body dysphoria, dancer comparisons, and sore feet.
So this babe decided to take a break, travelled the world, and returned to her home in Smiths Falls to become... a registered massage therapist... and eventually, the new owner of the faith-based dance studio, Redeemer Dance Academy.
