Think Like A Hacker and Protect Your Employees (Feat. Barbara Paluszkiewicz)

"Being safe in the digital era isn’t always intuitive to everyone. Comprehensive network assessments and security awareness training educate organizations and individuals, empowering them with the knowledge to help prevent cyberattacks.
Companies that consistently execute security awareness training are less at risk of losing time, money, and sensitive company information. The worst-case scenario for a trained team is that someone sees a genuine email and assumes it’s fraud. Enrolling your team in proactive security awareness training and engaging in comprehensive network assessments are your greatest lines of defense against falling victim to an IT Scam."
Following the release of Empathetic Leadership, Barbara joined us on the podcast to discuss her take on injecting empathy into business dealings and her chapter in the book. Barbara's chapter entitled "One Click - How You Can Lose Your Business In A Second" shares her personal and professional experiences that led her to achieving success by showcasing empathy each step of the way.

Perception is the Prism That Can Change Your Life (Feat. Rosbel Serrano)

Perception is the Prism That Can Change Your Life (Feat. Rosbel Serrano)

"My colleague slowly approached the woman, signing a few words with her hands until the woman calmed down and responded back. She was deaf! The woman – we soon learned – had misplaced her child. That’s why she was panicking. That’s why she was shouting. Thankfully, the story had a happy ending – her child was in another part of the room, just out of her eyesight. They soon reunited. And the rest of us learned a valuable lesson about rushing to judgment.
That day was a turning point in my life. I embarked on a journey to learn sign language. I grew to understand empathy in a new light. I also founded Sales2Bloom, a company that helps technology organizations and salespersons grow their businesses with consistency and productivity through enterprise sales coaching and business consulting. The lessons from that day are regularly applied at Sales2Bloom. ”

Break The Shackles of Poverty with Empathy (Feat. Michael Kramer)

Break The Shackles of Poverty with Empathy (Feat. Michael Kramer)

"I will never forget the fearful look on my mother’s face when she came to me, her youngest son, twenty-one years old, number nine of her ten children, and told me she didn’t have six hundred dollars to dig my father’s grave. The night before, he had died on a hospital bed in our living room after a three-year battle with colon cancer that had spread to his liver. My mom, Gladys, didn’t know what to do.
That day in 1992, I felt a mix of emotions, from shock and disbelief to anger to an even deeper sadness at an already difficult time. I was speechless. “How,” I thought over and over that day, “does a man who had been a great dad, was well known and respected in the community, and was a business owner for over thirty years leave his wife and children broke?”
Following the release of Empathy and Understanding in Business," Michael joined us on the podcast to discuss his take on injecting empathy into business dealings and his chapter in the book. Michael's chapter entitled "EMPATHY—THE POWER TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY" shares his personal and professional experiences that led him to achieving success by showcasing empathy each step of the way.

Transformational Leadership Through Courage and Empathy (Feat: Skip Freeman)

Transformational Leadership Through Courage and Empathy (Feat: Skip Freeman)

"On May 11, 1970, as riots rocked Augusta, a large unfriendly gathering appeared in front of our school in North Augusta, SC, right across the river. The police arrived, and trouble was clearly brewing. I found Curtis, and we talked. The word empathy didn’t become a normal everyday word until 1995 when Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman was published. Little did we know we would soon be applying the skills of empathy and understanding that day."
Following the release of Empathy and Understanding in Business," Albert (Skip) Freeman, joined us on the podcast to discuss his take on injecting empathy into business dealings and his chapter in the book. Skip's chapter entitled "EMPATHY UNLEASHED: NAVIGATING SETBACKS AND EMBRACING TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP" shares his personal and professional experiences that led him to achieving success by showcasing empathy each step of the way.

Compassionate Endings In Business (Feat: Lynette S. Kim)

Compassionate Endings In Business (Feat: Lynette S. Kim)

"Empathy and understanding are critical factors in a mediated divorce because there is no winner or loser. The end of the process is defined by an agreed upon solution. We never outwardly discuss these factors, but they are integral to every step we take. It is important to understand that ending a marriage, even by mediation, is never painless. When the process is undertaken with empathy, a more amicable solution is attainable.
My role as a professional family law mediator puts me in the role of helping people navigate through the hard conversations. This is a process I find meaningful. Sometimes these conversations are ones the couple struggled with while they were married. A family law mediator is not a therapist. My role is not to heal a broken bond nor am I acting as an attorney advocating on anyone’s behalf. When a couple, who has agreed on a mediated divorce, retains me as their chosen mediator, I am working with both parties. This role built around mutual support creates, for many of my clients, a more positive image of what a divorce should look like".
Following the release of Empathy and Understanding in Business," Lynette S. Kim, joined us on the podcast to discuss her take on injecting empathy into business dealings and her chapter in the book. Lynette's chapter entitled "EMPATHY UNLEASHED:
NAVIGATING SETBACKS AND EMBRACING TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP" shares her personal and professional experiences that led her to achieving success by showcasing empathy each step of the way.
