Ep. 4: Money Is Not An Idol, It’s A Tool w/Justina Trim-Nicholson Paid Invoice Podcast

    • Economía y empresa

In this episode, I will be having a conversation with my longtime friend, scholar, and activist Justina Trim-Nicholson.

Justina Trim-Nicholson is a graduate of Georgia State University with a MA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a BA in Sociology with a Race and Urban Studies concentration and Psychology minor. She recently served as a Women and Gender Studies Instructor at Georgia State. Her background includes working on youth empowerment, amplifying the need for adequate access to education, racial equity and justice, and overall reproductive justice issues. Her research on BIPOC knowledge about rituals, historical references, and modules of healing allows her to utilize this information to center the importance of understanding ancestral trauma when discussing racial equity and justice.

We talk about a wide range of topics and issues, including, but not limited to:

soul suppression in the workplace
spiritual entrepreneurship
detaching money and wealth from your self worth

You can find and follow her work on Instagram @justinaanicolee. Don’t forget to follow me @budgetingbrokegirl on Instagram. I post throughout the week about financial literacy, money memes, as well as my own financial journey. Thank you for listening!
