Lyz Lenz did what she was “supposed” to do when she hit adulthood. She got married, had kids, and worked hard to balance her family life with her burgeoning writing career. She eventually realized she was doing most of the work to keep this “balance” going, and got fed up. She eventually got divorced and realized her life was less stressful as a single working mom. In her latest book, This American Ex-Wife, Lyz writes about her personal experience with divorce and shares reporting and research she did on modern, American marriages.
