The idea for this song came about after having observed both men and women trying to seduce one another. Sometimes the attempt is purely a means of physical gratification, with the lyrics “all it takes is a bit of this and that” suggesting that with a bit more effort and preparation it could turn into more than just a chase. It is an observation of the fruitless and unsatisfying emotional desert that you can find in any social gathering.
