This week we will be talking about reparations!! 



What are reparations? 



Reparations is compensation given for abuse/injuries. 



Black folk know that we have endured abuse from this country since the 1500s.. but do you feel we are owed some compensation for our pain and suffering? 



What if I told you that other subgroups of people were compensated for their years of suffering on behalf of their government? 



What if I told you that half of this nations wealth comes directly from the cotton picking industry? 



What if I told you that although slaves built most of America’s infrastructure... the slave master accumulated the wealth from it and was able to pass that wealth down for generations and we received nothing !!! 



What if I told you that the government paid out slave owners the market value for each slave that they owned in exchange for their freedom but gave the slave nothing! 



Would you still feel the same?
