# 013 - Pam Bernard was an Early Childhood Center/Daycare Director when she had a student with cancer.  The child was allowed to attend based on the oncologist's approval. However, she and the daycare played a pivotal role, ensuring there were constant communications and a partnership between the pediatric oncology patient, parents, and the teachers. Social workers were welcomed into the daycare to help educate teachers on what to expect.
