An entertaining and old-timey radio drama about the young men of Company 696 of the Civil Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Stationed in Makanda, Illinois, this company along with others helped to build the breath-taking, historical landmark, Giant City State Park. Camp Giant City shows the endearing and indomitable spirit of rural folk hit hard by the Great Depression and tells the adventures of young men discovering the peaks and valleys of building and becoming part of a community.

From bootlegging, to misunderstandings with the town folk, to the terrors of meeting potential love interests, these boys are in for a well-deserved break from routine to say the least.
