    • Darstellende Kunst

In this podcast I have a tête-à-tête with David B Horne, an award-winning author, champion of diversity in investment, the founder of Funding Focus, TEDx speaker and a serial entrepreneur.

Among many funding alternatives and tips David explains why it is important to support more female creative entrepreneurs who generally receive less funding that their male counterparts. Via his Non-For-Profit organisation called The Funding Focus (www.fundingfocus.com) David is providing courses and various fundraising opportunities for female entrepreneurs, disadvantaged and people from minority groups.

Some of David's tips include:

Find mentors, Learn from others, seek out for help

Bring others to your idea

Believe in yourself.

Check your mindset. Every investor is on a lookout for confident people who believe in themselves

Think pitching because you're constantly pitching.

Keep your mission when pitching for funding.

Think carefully who you'd receive private funding from

Don't lose your passion.

Think what's the benefit for the funder.

Think of the risk as well as the success

Build a positive track record (it'll make your fundraising easier)

Be prepared to be flexible and ready to perhaps give a bigger chunk of your company

Higher your reputation better your chances of being funded

If you're having serious discussion, bring professional support with you (Lawer, Accountant etc)

And much more.
