    E05: Interview with Shep Gordon

    E05: Interview with Shep Gordon

Music manager Shep Gordon speaks about working in the entertainment business. What is most inspiring about Shep, is that he created his career from ground zero through his original 'stunts' long before social media existed to attract attention for this longest-standing 'client', Alice Cooper. This interview illuminates his stance on breaking in, working hard, and collaboration. He also talks about his culinary recommendation for feeding a film crew. The end gives a snippet of his Chicken Soup recipe, which is TO DIE FOR. There is no one in this world like Shep Gordon and he is the ultimate guru for anyone wanting to make it in the media industry - with key ingredients of true originality and ingenuity, profound humility and being a very good Mensch.

    E04: Film Festivals

    E04: Film Festivals

This episode is in dedication to all film festivals that now have to cancel or adapt to Covid-19. This episode was recorded YEARS ago about my experiences at Cannes and Berlin even longer ago, therefore please note some things are outdated. Please note the episode does not have a contextualization about current times. It is a chance to maybe reminisce about what it is like to be there in person, but I also want to use it to draw attention to this year's Marche Du Film in Cannes, which is going ONLINE - I recommend it to anyone, as it cuts your costs to around $100! Unheard of. In this two-part series, Eva tells you how to make your first (of many) tours to major film festivals. Remember, that it’s not all about the glitz and glamour of red carpet events. It’s the hustle. How should you plan your day? How versed are you in your pitch? How do you make yourself memorable? In this episode, Eva explores the Cannes Film Festival. She shows you that with determination and planning, you can(nes) have a successful experience.
