The Monster Squad
It’s a Halloween treat for us all as we dive into one of Jaleh’s all-time favorites and Jessica’s core fear, 1987’s The Monster Squad. We’re joined by resident monster expert, Jamie Clark Yeah, as we round up the ammo, virgins, and one Scary German Guy with a delicious looking pie. Grab your amulet and your Van Helsing diary and meet us in the South Hollow town square, dear hearts.

Austenland
We’ve made it all the way to week 10, and this gem is our reward. We happily rewatch 2013’s film adaptation of Austenland, and we think you should too. This one has everything — sax solos, Lord of the Rings, Nelly stories, Gaius Baltar, and even a little JJ Tilney talk. Hop a plane and clean out your savings account (figuratively) with us, dear hearts.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries
Lots of firsts in this one, dear hearts, as we watch the Emmy Award-winning Lizzie Bennet Diaries. It’s our first webseries, our first modern adaptation, possibly our first disagreement! Don’t believe us? Ask my fiancé who lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba! Plus, Jess goes way into her fandom days, and Jaleh finds the links in the dooblydoo. Whhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
We’re into our second Pride & Prejudice, and this time, we got Zombies in the mix. Thankfully, we have Honorary Hart Chick and Midnight Murderaman Jamie to chat through it with us. We ask the big questions like: Which fighting style is best? Is Darcy’s duster jacket fit for a wedding? Who is this movie for? Wield your weapons with us, dear hearts!

Pride and Prejudice
This one’s a big one, dear hearts, so feel free to take a turn about the room with us as we fully experience Jessica’s favorite movie, 2005’s Pride & Prejudice. We talk tracking shots, wigs, Emma Thompson, dresses (especially those with hems six inches deep in mud), and hands, of course. Cold, flexed, or otherwise. This whole conversation was Jessica’s dream come true, so get yourself a plateful of exemplary vegetables to keep your strength up.
