Resources for Children As mentioned in this podcast episode, we've found some great children's Bibles to help our kids connect with God's word from a young age. Here are a few of our favorites.
In order from youngest child to oldest:
Read Aloud Bible Stories for Kids (all volumes), great for ages 2-4
Jesus Storybook Bible, for ages 4-6+
Children's Easy-to-Read Bible, for ages 5-7+
NIrV Kids' Quest Study Bible, for ages 7+

Resources for Adults The Story: Using excerpted scriptures, this Bible tells the story of God in a chronological, over-view fashion.
One Year Chronological Bible: This Bible is reorganized into what scholars believe to be chronological order and divided into 365 daily readings. This is what Katie is reading this year.

Scriptures Referenced Isaiah 40:6-8,
A voice says, “Cry out.”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”

“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
    Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”

Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jeremiah 9:23-24,
This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
    justice and righteousness on earth,
    for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.
