I am telling the truth, it is hard to make any change in our county when it is run by a corrupt School Board Member who profits from cheating. ITS OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM, US THE TAX PAYERS!!!
Fauquier County School Board member Suzanne Sloane is the principal of Virginia Virtual Academy (VAVA K12), a private, for profit school that is recognized by the VDOE as a public school option.
Only three districts in the commonwealth have contracts with VAVA K12: Richmond City, King and Queen County, and Patrick County.
Sloane believes her position on the school board is not a conflict because Fauquier County does not have a contract with VAVA K12.
However, what taxpayers do not know is that the number of students enrolled in VAVA K12, who currently reside in Fauquier County, have tripled during Sloane’s time on our board. Her school is enrolling students as transfer students under Richmond City, King and Queen County, and Patrick County.
VAVA K12 is in direct competition with public schools for government funding. With our schools losing certified teachers in record numbers and SOL scores decreasing, she benefits with increasing enrollment in her school.
Sloane also makes decisions regarding teacher pay! Wake up teachers and see what her teachers are being paid!
Her position is clearly a conflict.
Combine this with the fact that she misled voters on Election Day by falsely identifying herself as the Republican endorsed candidate.
How is she allowed to stay in that seat?
