    Girl Dad Gang: From Incarceration to Inspiration

    Gordy and Mia connect with another Dad and Daughter—Brother Da'ee and Akiya McKnight! Brother Da’ee was formerly incarcerated and is now a Criminal Justice Advocate helping to prevent young men from going to prison and from reentering prison after they have been already. He is particularly focused on Fathers and families. Akiya McKnight is an award-winning producer and writer, changing the landscape in Hollywood.
    Both were driven to help others overcome their challenges to fulfill their largest dreams and give back to where they came from.

    In this episode, Gordy joins Mia in Hollywood, and then the unexpected happens, again. Right before their second live taping, Gordy is back to the same place he was before their first.
    Nonetheless, they have Bobby "Yay Yay" Jones, the inspiration behind Netflix's Imperial Dreams, Morehouse and USC Film School Grad Tarik Jackson, and North Philly Native and Yale grad Rhasaan Nichols. They all speak on how the hood prepared them for Hollywood and the importance of sharing their stories.
