We had a special service honoring Fathers and Mothers Day this year. So, my message was built around examples of couples in the Bible who were examples of Godliness.

Despite the fact that many view the story of Noah and the ark as myth, or at best, a story from the ancient past with little bearing on today, the story of Noah and the ark actually lays the foundation stones for the doctrine that will arise from Scripture.

The story of Noah and the ark illustrates some basic doctrines of the Bible. Not the least of them is that salvation comes by grace, through faith.

We come now to the story of Noah and the ark in the book of Genesis. And there are some foundational truths about salvation that we learn from this story of judgement.

Today we continue to look at the genealogy between Adam and Noah. There are individuals in that line who illustrate the broad way to destruction; Cain and Lamech. There are also individuals who illustrate the narrow rad to life; Seth, Enoch, and Noah.

Jesus said that all people make a choice between a narrow Spiritual path that leads to life, and a broad one that leads to destruction. As we look at the generations between Adam and Noah, we find illustrations of both. The broad path is illustrated by Cain and Lamech, the narrow is illustrated by Seth, Enoch, and Noah.
