Yet, it also reinforced the Bury Your Gays Trope with the particularly unjust death of a major queer character.

POSE is more than a popular mainstream outlier. It offers trans/gender fluid/non-binary representation and humanity.

Correction: it doesn't "offer" it - it owns it.  

POSE is a historical fiction set in AIDS-Epidemic New York City in the late '80s and early '90s.
