The Pick Me Up Podcast with special guest Lynn Ruth Miller Pick Me Up podcast with James Rankin

“It’s never too late to choose happiness”

In this episode of the PMU podcast I sit down with the one and only Lynn Ruth Miller. For those who have not come across Lynn Ruth, she is the world’s oldest performing comedian today, who has a wicked sense of humour and is still frighteningly sharp. Lynn Ruth began her comedy career at 71 years of age! (yes, you read that right). She has also just published her 5th book, this one titled “Getting The Last Laugh’. Lynn Ruth Miller is living proof that “how we age is a choice” and I believe there is a lot of wisdom in this discussion with her.

I met Lynn Ruth a few years ago performing and since then, whenever we’re on the same bill or playing the same festival, I’ll always seek her out for some wisdom, so it was good to get her for a whole hour.

In this episode we discuss:

The current pandemic and Lynn’s personal thoughts on ageism as a result.

You only have one life. Live it for yourself.

“Playing different games” - Keeping productive and trying new things as we age.

Being independent and what drives Lynn Ruth Miller to push for more.

and a whole lotta wisdom all throughout!
