Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 - The Scream Test

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 - The Scream Test

Join Rachel for a solo show of The Scream Test - one of the best horror film podcasts around. Having noticed Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 has arrived on Prime Video, Rachel takes this chance to share her love and passion for the film - one that even she notes is "universally hated".
Rachel doesn't have a film podcast guest on this episode, so why not be her company and listen to it? Perhaps several times so she really feels your love for her.
ASMR fans will enjoy Rachel stopping to glug her drink several times during the film podcast episode. Enjoy.
The plot of the film is: A group of tourists arrives in Burkittsville, Maryland after seeing The Blair Witch Project (1999) to explore the mythology and phenomenon, only to come face to face with their own neuroses and possibly the witch herself.
Rachel apparently declares her love for this film, even at people at bus stops - so now she gets to do that in this film podcast episode globally.
The Scream Test is part of the UK Film Review Podcast. Remember to check out our other shows, follow us on socials, and be part of our film-loving community!

Straight Through Crew: A fantastic piece of rural hedonism - check out how our film critics attempt to pronounce hedonism.

Bob Marley: One Love - Wicked Little Letters - Spaceman - UK Film Club Episode 13

Bob Marley: One Love - Wicked Little Letters - Spaceman - UK Film Club Episode 13

On this beloved film reviews podcast, film critics Chris Olson and Brian Penn give you a run down of amazing movies to enjoy in March 2024, as part of their UK Film Club show on the UK Film Review Podcast.
This episode includes film reviews of:

Bob Marley: One Love - the new biopic about the legend of Reggae. Chris and Brian wax lyrical about the great man's music, but what did Brian make of the new film currently out in cinemas in the UK? Find out in this film podcast episode.Wicked Little Letters - A new UK-movie with strong language and an amazing cast. A unique story that Brian absolutely loved and we even play a clip from the movie in the film podcast episode for our listeners to enjoy! (explicit by the way but hilarious).Dune: Part 2 - After revisiting the David Lynch version, hopes were high for this second outing from Denis. But will it be Brian's "Film of the Month"?Spaceman - a new Netflix film starring Adam Sandler as an astronaut and Paul Dano voicing a giant space spider - what's not to love?I Bring Joy - an indie thriller set in London about a dancer who turns violent after an altercation with some would-be muggers. A strong and powerful film with an incredible tone.Everyone - another UK indie film, from filmmaker Marcus Flemmings, providing a fabulous, real-time comedy set in a restaurant where various dramas unfold at each table.Dagr - a phenomenal example of found-footage done right, with two eccentric YouTubers attempting to hijack a commercial for their own amusement and followers who end up in some serious trouble. The ACTT - community theatre, or amateur dramatics, this is a low-budget short film from the U.S that sends up the various types of "actors" and has a lot of fun along the way.Beneath a Mother's Feet - a compelling and moving short film about the struggle of a mother who is trying to raise two children without their father, and being pushed towards remarrying by her parents.Gremlins (1984) - our nostalgia film review revisits the classic comedy about those cute, furry little creatures - just don't get them wet or feed them after midnight - a bit like Brian and Chris. A bit fun for those interested in film history.
We hope you enjoy this episode of UK Film Club and all the film reviews it contains. If you did, please drop us a message on our socials @ukfilmreview and we would love to hear from you!

Oscars Results 2024 - Gay, Actually ft The Fantom Zone

Oscars Results 2024 - Gay, Actually ft The Fantom Zone

In  possibly one of the most chaotic film podcast episodes of Gay Actually to date, Amber and Joyce team up with three members of The Fantom Zone quartet to discuss the 2024 Academy Awards.
The group chat about some of this years Oscar winners, including Emma Stone and Poor Things, Christopher Nolan and Oppenheimer (much to Ian's disgust), Lily Gladstone, Billie Eilish, Robert Downey Jr, and many more films - past and present.
Amber attempts to moderate the discussion, sparks fly as Ian and Joyce strongly disagree on most of their film opinions, and Chris and Toby are along for the ride - but continue to thrive.
Remember to check out all our podcast episodes for great film reviews, film interviews, film history and more.
