(19 OCTOBER 2023)2023년 CRW ‘섬김과 친밀함이 넘치는 예배 Humble and Intimate Worship’This Thursday, I am preaching from the Apostle Paul's letter to the church in Philippi. In his letter, especially towards the last chapter, Chapter 4, he urged and encouraged Christians to stand firmly on Jesus Christ.I believe that the unceasing persecution, threats, imprisonment, and death among Christians were rapidly increasing. Even Paul, who was himself in prison when he sent this letter to his fellow Christians, wrote to them, encouraging them to anchor their lives and faith in Jesus Christ alone, even if it meant death for many of them. Indeed, many early church Christians endured these series of trials and persecutions. The Bible reading mentions a few names of those who persevered for Jesus by praying, loving, and caring for each other.We, Cross River Worshippers, are also called to stand firm on Jesus, love one another, and spread the good news about Jesus Christ in our neighbourhood. Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.4 주 안에서 항상 기뻐하라 내가 다시 말하노니 기뻐하라. 5 너희 관용을 모든 사람에게 알게 하라 주께서 가까우시니라.Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 아무 것도 염려하지 말고 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로, 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라. 7 그리하면 모든 지각에 뛰어난 하나님의 평강이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희 마음과 생각을 지키시리라.Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
