The History of Impeachment - Corey Brettschneider

The History of Impeachment - Corey Brettschneider

Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body levels charges against a government official. Impeachment does not in itself remove the official definitively from office; it is similar to an indictment in criminal law, and thus it is essentially the statement of charges against the official.

Presidents Day Bonus episode - Impeachment

Presidents Day Bonus episode - Impeachment

Article One of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power of impeachment and the Senate the sole power to try impeachments of officers of the U.S. federal government. (Various state constitutions include similar measures, allowing the state legislature to impeach the governor or other officials of the state government.) In the United States, impeachment is only the first of two stages, and conviction during the second stage requires "the concurrence of two thirds of the members present" For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

One of the best

Informative, educational, and always entertaining; this is podcasting at its best. For me, David Pietrusza is what makes this podcast stand out. He is extremely knowledgeable on the topic at hand and has a voice and delivery of speech that makes each episode a joy to listen to.
Even for those people (like me) who have no great interest in American politics, this podcast is worth every second of listening pleasure. Highly recommended.
