#154 Bonnie Raitt - Nick of Time
Bonnie Raitt was at a low point in her career after being a road dog for decades and failing to breakthrough into mainstream success. With her reputation on the line she set her sights on a nostalgic record about middle age. The boyos discuss 80s synth overkill, selflessly helping old blues musicians, and burying your best tracks deep in the mix.

#153 Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Elton John's career was climbing fast when he and his band decided to lay down the 17 tracks for Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. The guys discuss underrated bass players, lyrics that needed a little longer in the oven, and stacking the deck across one hundred and sixteen minutes of double album.

#152 Living Colour - Vivid
Living Colour broke the mold of what it meant to be a rock band in the late 80s, and they managed to break through the noise with a little help from MTV. The fellas discuss proggy solos, lazy lyric writing, and Mick Jagger cameo appearances.

#151 The Beatles - Abbey Road SIDE 2
Freshly married and without the Let It Be documentary cameras rolling, The Beatles head into their favorite London recording studio to lay down an all time classic before calling it quits forever. In our thrilling conclusion, we cover every track on Side 2 and chatter about the most popular Beatles song in the digital era, guitar solos played by bass players, and using every note in the western scale in a single, strange composition.

Customer Reviews
Enjoying this podcast
As a boomer, I’m enjoying this podcast both for the old and new music. You guys might be irreverent at times, but hey that’s half the fun and you balance it with worthy song deconstruction and interesting nerd trivia.
One of your podcasts(possibly Portishead) spoke of a stomach churning lip smack. There is a good one after the the first line in The Zombies “She’s Not There”.
Keep up the good work guys.
Fabulous music nerdery
This is a high quality dive into some of the sacred cows of recorded music. There’s discussion, dissection and dissent… and more than a few laughs. Highly recommended.
Love/Hate
These guys will love music you hate and they will mock and laugh at music you love.
You’ll argue with them while you’re listening.
Ultimately they will measure the album by the what, when and how of it, and they rarely get it wrong.
