The rightful heir

For as long as antiquity, the notion of Ancient Rome has only revolved around the Western Empire.

This podcast re-sets the focus, and credits the Eastern Empire as the rightful and more enduring heir of the caesars and augusti from earlier centuries.

One of the greatest!

Perhaps the first podcast of its kind, 12 Byzantine Rulers is a timeless listener experience. Honestly gets better with every listen. Lars Brownworth captures a really great anthology style of historical story telling focused around twelve key figures of the late Roman Empire. An inspiration to other podcasters like the renowned Mike Duncan, 12 Byzantine Rulers is well worth checking out.
