Accountants and financial advisers have different goals in mind when it comes to taxes. For an accountant, it may be that they are tax focused for that particular financial year, while the financial adviser may be looking over the longer-term. This isn't necessarily always the case, but it's good to keep in mind that both professions are usually experts in different areas of tax.
