Rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, evading crocs, playing footy & music in the Northern Territory, the Tiwi Islands and getting into the thick of Australian indigenous culture. All this & more is just some of what’s in store this week on Hot & Delicious: Rocks The Planet!
Australian singer/songwriter Todd Cook joins me live from Adelaide on tour to talk about the launch of ‘The Silent Boat’ EP.
Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the first Australian Cricket team’s tour to England in 1868, ‘The Silent Boat’ tells the relatively untold part of Australian history.
The team, predominately made up of indigenous players from Western Victoria, displayed outstanding sportsmanship and skill, and their story is a beacon of hope in a dark page of Australian folklore.
Todd Cook’s vocals are Gomez x David Gray amplified, he wrote his wedding vows as a song, describes a “pinch me” moment whilst on tour in Belfast and we even get the ‘Silent Boat single a spin.
Amazing podcast chats! Let’s get into it!
