    • Management

Have you ever tried to do something new and challenging in your business, but lost motivation almost immediately? This mindset happens to almost everyone and it is important to consciously think about the learning process.
In this episode, I discuss the four stages of learning and how they significantly impact upon growing your business or employing new staff. I talk about each stage and how they can impact on your motivation level to succeed.
These four stages are:
Unconscious Incompetence - you don't realise how unskilled you are at a taskConscious Incompetence - you know just enough to realise that you know very littleConscious Competence - you know how to do the task, but you have to be thinking and cross checking everything Unconscious Competence - you have reached mastery level and the task flow without conscious effortRemember, whenever you are learning a new skill, you will be a beginner and may not be ‘Unconsciously Competent’ immediately. By working through and by understanding each stage in the learning cycle you will become a successful leader of yourself AND your team.
