While it's true that there's never a bad time for a new Spike Lee Joint, right now just happens to be an especially good time to be getting a new film from a master director who has spent the last three-and-a-half decades challenging us to consider the ways that racism defines American life. New to Netflix this weekend, Lee's DA 5 BLOODS doesn't disappoint. Adam and Josh debate the effectiveness of a key performance, and some of Lee's - always bold - aesthetic choices, but they agree that it's one of the year's essential films.
