Food is not just about how you cook in the kitchen: it's about where the food comes from, the path for ingredients from farm to plate, the love and passion that goes into making the final dish and the sharing of food with the people important to you. Masterchef judge Gary Mehigan chats to people for whom food is everything - it's the love that goes into sourcing ingredients, creating the recipes and sharing that love of the process with others. Each dish has a much bigger story than just the cooking - each dish becomes A Plate To Call Home.

Philip Johnson “Ecco”

What a joy. I sort off forgot about Philip, in my library of cookbook 3 of his books sit there waiting to be chosen once again. Now I’ve never been to Ecco but previously had cooked a few of his recipes, from deep dark memory loved “em”. Listening to you chat with him whilst driving around Sydney to pickup pickled lambs tongues the other day (Damien Pignolet recipe) my interest has been rekindled. Out comes the Gorgonzola potato spinach etc for this weekends dining. Thanks Gary love the podcast next what will I do with my Eugowra quail.

Anna Polyviou

Love your podcasts they are brilliant especially the one with Anna. I can so relate to her strict European upbringing, hated it then but now I see how it shaped me into who I am today. Keep them coming Gary
