    In 2015 at 35 years old Andrew Taylor was morbidly obese, on the precipice of a host of physical health problems and plagued by clinical anxiety and depression. He could see no way to end the cycle of dieting and binge eating that he had been stuck in since he was a child. He was ready to give up on himself entirely.
    In one of Andrew's darkest moments he discovered his own unique, healthy and nutritious solution, he lost 55 kilograms (120 pounds) and turned his mental and physical health around. But more importantly, because he treated the root cause of his problem and not just the symptoms, he has changed his relationship with food forever. Andrew has now helped thousands of other people through his Spud Fit programe to use the principles he learned to change their lives too.

    This week Paul speaks with Jon Mitchell from STFU Fitness. Jon is a recovering alcoholic who has drastically changed his life and the life of others through health and fitness.

    Jon describes sobering up as not something that just happens. It's not about hoping for the best, or thinking there's a magical cure, or trusting that others will be there when you fall (some will but most won't). Sobering up is about accepting your addictions precisely as they are; damaging, uncontrollable, unhealthy, deadly and relentless. It's about committing to the betterment of your life. No matter what.
    People will disappear, your body will change, your environment will mutate, your moods will be all over the place. It's ok, it's a better buzz than any drink or drug out there; to wake up totally sober and clean, to say hi to family and friends without wondering who you hurt or which relationship you damaged the night before - to not need anything but a glance in the mirror to tell yourself you're awesome.

    Anthony Masiello - Healthy Human Revolution

    This weeks guest is Anthony Masiello. Anthony lived most of his life unhealthy and obese until he finally decided to do something about it for himself, and his family. He switched to a whole-food plant-based diet, and in 20 months lost 160 pounds, reversed all of his medical issues, and completely transformed his life. Since regaining his own health, Anthony has developed a passion for helping others to do and sustain the same. Anthony is a Nationally Certified Food Addictions Coach. Together with Dr. Laurie Marbas and Jason Cohen, Anthony has launched the healthyhumanrevolution.com website as a way of giving people the resources to empower them with the knowledge, tools and mindset to successfully adopt and sustain a whole food plant based diet and live a healthy happy life.
