He and his brother founded Gymnastics USA, Florida’s largest gymnastics center, and also run Stars and Stripes Marketing Services, a full-stack marketing firm. Austin serves on multiple boards and charities, including Winter Garden Architectural Review and Historic Preservation Board, West Orange Habitat for Humanity, Challenge 22 to End Veteran Suicide and more.

Premiered Nov 5, 2023: Horizon West, Florida is one of the fastest growing master planned communities in the country. Once filled with orange groves the area is now filled with people who are building a new life together in 5 different villages and a town center (6 distinct micro communities). Very rarely in modern America do people have the chance to create their own community and character, being a relatively new development, that is exactly what Horizon West is doing.
Cynthia Dailey is one of the leading advocates in Horizon West, she is the owner and publisher of the resource and lifestyle guide, “Living in Horizon West”. She is also the founder of the very influential “Horizon West Happenings”, which is now owned and operated by Stephanie Lang. Cynthia sat down with Austin Arthur on the “After Thought” show to discuss some of the history of Horizon West and where it is today. She and others in this area are creating community.

Mayor John Rees’ Official Biography:
Rees has served as mayor of Winter Garden for 13 years and was a city commissioner for 12 years prior. He also has served on boards of the city’s Planning & Zoning Board, as well as the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, Little League, YMCA, Health Central, Lake Apopka Natural Gas and the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation. He was chairman of the Winter Garden Recreation Board, and he served on the West Orange Committee of 101. He spent years coaching football, basketball and soccer at the Y; and coaching Pop Warner football and Little League baseball. Rees has been married to Linda Johnson, his childhood sweetheart, for 51 years, and they have two sons, Johnathan and Justin; and six grandchildren, Emily, Madison, McKenzie, Morgan, Abigail and John. The lifelong resident of Winter Garden graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in accounting from Rollins College. Rees is a member of the First Baptist Church Winter Garden. He is retired and is president and COO of Silver Springs Citrus.

West Orange Habitat for Humanity, Inc. was founded in 1990 at the Oakland Presbyterian Church, Oakland Presbyterian Church, Oakland, Florida and is a recognized affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Its primary goal is to build houses for God's people in West Orange County, Florida, i.e. Oakland, Ocoee, Winter Garden and Windermere. Habitat for Humanity International is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
