Rob’s Update

I have listened to Age of Victoria from the start and thought it about time to update my review. This podcast is like the most luxurious red, ages so wonderfully. Chris’s research is of an academic standard, the pacing is on piste, and clear. He adds just enough expression to feel like one is listening to a story. Above all Chris brings out the human insights into the Age. It has reminded me to look for the human in my areas of personal research. For me this makes the narrative come alive, whether dealing with lords and ladies, the struggling poor or a soldier on a battlefield. Age of Victoria has come to me to represent podcasting at its highest level. Definitely in my top 5. I wish Chris a long podcasting career.

Brilliant!

Beautifully narrated and well researched leading to the thoughts and expectations of the people, of the historical era, realistically realised. We are all effected by the times in which we live which in turn shapes our society. To truly understand and appreciate history this aspect is clearly explained in this podcast which makes for a fascinating and balanced listening experience. Lis ( Australia).
