Ainslee Hooper Chats with... is a totally unscripted podcast dedicated to three things. 1. Breaking down stereotypes about disability. 2. Highlighting some of the amazing things being done by people with disabilities and 3. Removing the invisible barriers that society has built around the notion of disability. Oh, and we also talk about non-disability stuff too. Join me each Monday as I chat to a different guest who has their own unique journey, story and insights to share. I never know where the conversation is going to go and that makes it all the more interesting.

From the U.S. Sheri and I talk about the experience of disabled people in the U.S. during COVID19, the fight for accessibility and rights of disabled people in the U.S. and much more. This is an interview not to be missed.

Ainslee Hooper Chats with... Leanne Watson

I finally got the chance to chat to Leanne Watson of leanneswheellife.com - Leanne, who was diagnosed with a condition known as Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy in her 40s, talks about her transition from life prior to LGMD to now. We also got to talk about the exciting work she is doing with Kerry Williams of Accessible Accommodation. An exciting business which provides people with disabilities the freedom to get away by themselves or with loved ones. Oh, and it wouldn't be an episode of Ainslee Hooper Chats with.... without the 10 things my guests would like people to know about disability.

Ainslee Hooper Chats with... Shaye Foster

While it's important that people with disabilities have a voice, what about those people with disabilities that cannot speak for themselves? This week I chat to Shaye Foster whose sister has a rare condition which prevents her from being able to communicate herself and who is the inspiration behind Shaye starting her own business in the disability space. Shaye shares some experiences she has had as a sister of a person with a disability talks about the gaps that exist in the disability sector.
