Episode 623: Sydney Kingfish With Justin Duggan
How lucky are Australian anglers? Our largest city, home to around 20% of our entire population is built around not one, but two fishing playgrounds. We're going to focus on Sydney Harbour today with our guest Justin Duggan - and we're going to learn how to target those frustrating kingfish (and other pelagics) at times when they are smashing bait along the shoreline. Frustrating why? Because they can be turning the shoreline to foam as they bust up on small bait like jelly prawns and anchovies. But despite being visible, exciting and active, they can be very difficult to convince to take a lure. Fortunately, Justin will share the techniques and tackle that can change your fortunes!

The members-only "PLUS" edition of this episode is available over at Team Doc Lures. In that version Justin and I go through the techniques he uses to fight tough pelagics from their homes on the light tackle that's necessary to get the bites. Melbourne Bluefin Tuna On Poppers With Lee Rayner
The continued resurence of the Bluefin Tuna fishery around southern Australia is creating spectacular results for those using traditional tuna fishing techniques. But with fish available in good numbers it creates the opportunity to explore less conventional (and maybe more fun) techniques. Over recent years it's become quite common to stop the boat and cast lures at feeding tuna, usually a stickbait or a diving minnow style lure. But Lee Rayner has discovered that surface poppers can be devastatingly effective on tuna. Working a popper in the right way can result in visually spectacular, heart stopping surface strikes from large and fast moving fish.

[Repost] Lake Monduran Barramundi With Jason Wilhelm
Jason is an undisputed master of impoundment barramundi fishing. His persistence, determination and commitment made him one of the early pioneers of winter impoundment barra fishing. In fact, pretty much everything Jason did back then was considered unconventional and even though some of it is mainstream today, he still has plenty of secrets to share and myths to dispel.

Episode 620: Maximise Your Fishing With Andrew Death
What can everyday, social anglers learn from the guys and girls who fish on the tournement circuit? Plenty! Tournament anglers put themselves in the situation of having to quickly figure out what's going to work on competition day, regardless of the conditions. They do everything they can to maximise their time on the water and their chances of success.
Social anglers might not be competing, but most of us have work, family and other commitments that might limits our fishing opportunities. Today we explore ways that social anglers can get more from their fishing by adopting some of the strategies and tactics used by the tournament guys and girls.

In many ways, there really isn't anything more important in your fishing kit than a quality pair of polarised sunglasses. We all know that quality sunglasses allow is to see through the water surface more clearly, but they also provide protection for our eyes against permanent damage from glare, UV and even the odd hook point.
So in today's episode I'm going to go through what you need to know about polarised sunnies asnd give me personal (non-expert) experience. And since Tonic Sunglasses not only produce some of the best on the market but also support ALF listeners and fishing events across Australia, I'm going to demonstrate using their products.
