In today’s episode, I get personal and give you another behind the scenes look into how I run my business. Particularly, my process for re-hiring a key person and what my hiring mastery method is all about. As an example of my approach to recruitment, I talk through the recent re-hire of my new assistant. 


Many of us are on a hiring journey, and frankly it can be a pretty emotional process that always seems to come at an inconvenient time. So today I share with you the 5 important recruitment lessons that I’ve learnt over the years.


When it comes to asking somebody to join you and buy into your vision, it’s vital to first know what’s important to you. What do you need? What are your must-haves and nice-to-haves? Knowing your hiring criteria and sticking to it is key in finding the right person to support you. 


Looking at every new hire as an opportunity to elevate your leadership AND elevate the support you receive can also be a beautiful way to reset in your business. It can give you the chance to reflect on yourself as a leader and ask yourself important questions. What sort of leader do I want to be? How can I improve? How can I strive to reach the next level?


I dive into my beliefs around the importance of recruitment branding and how this can serve both you and those applying to work with you. I also share how I approach the handover process and how I hold responsibility for the training and induction phase.
