Just a note this is a bit of a TMI episode (probably more on my part!) Penny of Min Pin chat about dealing with panic attacks & anxiety during labour & birth, body image issues post birth and how it’s important to keep tabs on your mental health once the baby comes.

    Babe 19 - Josh Thomas

    Babe 19 - Josh Thomas

Josh talks about being a Kiwi tattoo artist during the COVID-19 pandemic, the naming of their babies, how the hospital they went to for the births uncomfortably pushed for natural births and how he was left in the birthing suite for 3 hours alone with his son Bobby, along with the mess he helped made.

    Babe 18 - Julie Tran - Aacute

    Babe 18 - Julie Tran - Aacute

Babe 8teen is Julie of Aacute, who gave birth to her daughter Lyra at the start of the pandemic when things were super unorganized and confusing. We chat about how her partner Tom wasn’t able to be with Julie during Lyra’s birth, nor was he able to depend the first night with them at the hospital; but also how lovely it was when they finally get to spend the first night together as a family of 3. A little note, with me being super scared of needles, Julie got me a bit sweaty when she recalls the process of getting an epidural; and even sweatier with how the midwife explained c-section to her.

Babes 17 - James Noble & Jess Smith

In this episode we chat to the lovely couple James, drummer of Catholic Guilt and his beautiful partner Jess about being pregnant during the COVID-19 lockdown and how their dream birth was going so well according to the birth plan, but everything went a bit balls up. *positive outcome*
Also apologies for the audio in this episode! My audio is overwhelming compared to Jess & James'.

Babe 16 - Sarah Carollo - The Witch Apprentice

Babe Sixteen is Sarah of The Witch Apprentice. We chat about toilet training (again!), toddler tantrums and how we deal (or don’t) with them. How different her two daughters are, right down to labour pains. How we’d say we wouldn’t change our babies for the world but at the same time, okay maybe a little bit. Lastly, we chat the selling of Sarah’s old business to become a full time witch.

The best Birth Podcast out there 🧡

I cannot recommend this podcast enough. The host and legend that is Waan, is just a pleasure to listen to. Me and my partner listen to the stories and the fluidity and natural conversation that comes from each story and the way she makes everyone feel comfortable, speaks volumes of her character and her ability as a podcast host.

Host is calming!

The host has flowing convos with the guests, she doesn’t talk over or interrupt over them which is refreshing compared to some over host that like to toot their horn. Content is insightful and covers varying topics for new Mum to be! Keep it up!

sooooo good

Oh man, I’ve never related to a podcast more. I’ve got three kidlets and a small, creative business and was so good to hear about other women doing the juggle and feeling the pull from kids, needing/wanting to make stuff and earn enough $. Brought back so many memories about my three births, the lead up and recovery. Made me giggle, laugh and wince. Wish each episode went for 3 hours.
