#197-Take Control Over The ONE (and only) Thing You Can Control…YOU!

#197-Take Control Over The ONE (and only) Thing You Can Control…YOU!

Take control over the one (and only) thing you can control…YOU!
Think about the things in your life that you do that maybe aren’t working out so well and control is one of those things that does not work.
Trying to control everything and people in your life doesn’t work!
It’s like trying to force something that you can’t force like trying
to bend a steel bar with your hands.  You just can’t!
Think about this, doesn’t wanting control only give you stress
    and make you feel stressed?
I know it does.  It creates stress in your heart and mind, and in
your physical body, as well as creating stress in your family.
If you’re focused on what you are called to create, then you
won’t have time to focus on all the things you don’t have any control over!
It’s hard to create when you’re so busy trying to control
everything in your life, there’s no way that you can focus on
being creative because creating and being creative, you have
to be able to open your mind and let the ideas come.  Creating cannot be controlled or forced.
When you’re trying to control everything, it’s super exhausting!  Have you noticed that?
At the end of the day you’re so exhausted, mentally, emotionally, and sometimes physically too.
It can be very frustrating when you’re trying to control
everything and everyone when you don’t get your way, and you can’t have that control that you’re wanting and you’re trying to force.
    It’s not worth it!
Some of the many reasons why you’re trying to control things are because you feel like you don’t have any worth or value, or you’re not important.
And, the way that you try to feel valued and feel of your worth is
to try and control the things and the outcomes and control people and to get them to do what you want.
Other reasons could be that if you grew up in a household where there’s a lot of turbulence or violence and just unhappiness, or people are degrading each other and you feel like you have no control over what’s happening.
The only way you feel like you can prevent any of that
abuse is to try and control every single thing in your life to make sure that that same thing doesn’t happen to you as an adult.
It’s just exhausting and it’s not worth it!
You have to take a step back and see what’s going on in your life and decide if that’s what you want.
Turn to God for help if you feel like you have to control everything and to ask Him to be able to let that go and to know that He loves you.  There’s a better way of doing things.
There’s are some of the benefits and payoffs for not trying to control everything, you only have control over yourself:
You could sleep better at night.
    You would be less stressed.
You could see all the beauty that exists around you and in this world.
    You could feel happier.
Take an inventory of your life and think about the things that you do.  Is it working for you? Is there a blind spot that you have?
You can feel better.  You can connect your heart and your mind together to be one where you do things and it’s a benefit to you, and then it benefits everyone else around you.
Do this today because you have worth and value.
You are here for a purpose and you were called to create and
when you partner with God amazing things will happen.

    #196-➡️ 365 Days Of Opportunities!

    #196-➡️ 365 Days Of Opportunities!

I hope you had a great New Year celebration and that you enjoyed yourself on New Year's Day.
Here in Hawaii, New Year's Eve is crazy. There's a lot of people burning and popping fireworks and pretty much blowing up their money, but it was loud and it was raining.
I wanted to talk to you about what you discovered in 2021 because in order to move forward to a new year, you have to actually take a look back at the previous year.
Did you even have a chance to think about what you discovered and what happened? The Good The Bad, the Ugly?  Did you or were you able to fulfill your dreams?
What did you discover in 2021?
Did you have a chance to even really think about what you discovered about your dreams, your life, things you need to change?
And this is another opportunity for you to see what God has in store for you too. Because I hope you turn to God for help and direction and guidance in your life.
I do that all the time because I need help. There's just no way I can live on this earth without God's help.  And I want you to do that too because you'll discover some amazing things. God has plans for you.
You have 365 more opportunities for growth and expansion this new year.

#195-What Did You Discover This Year in 2021?!

#195-What Did You Discover This Year in 2021?!

What did you discover this year in 2021?
Did you have a chance to even really think about what you discovered about your dreams, your life, things you need to change?
    Like maybe bad habits?!
Or, did you discover wonderful things about yourself because
it’s really easy to not allow yourself to discover or think anything good about yourself?
Even though this podcast is about what you’re called to create, I like to talk about your heart and your mind and your dreams and your desires because those are the two things(your heart and your mind) that affect your whole life.
When you work on your heart and your mind, you are able to move forward towards your dreams and what you’re called to create.
I love to talk about creating because I know that God put us here on this earth for many reasons, and one of them is to create.
We are given gifts and talents and everyone’s gift is different so creating will be different.
Now’s a good time to think about what you want to create in your life?  What did you discover that you did or didn’t do, or what did you discover about yourself?
When you talk about discovering, it’s endless on what you can talk about because we live different lives and we do different things.
Children are a good example of discovery!  They want to discover everything and look for things, and it would be so amazing if we could have the same attitude as children do.
I want you to do that for yourself starting now!  You don’t have to wait until 2022.
Do this for yourself because the more you can discover things, that’s when the possibilities of creation open up.
It’s amazing what you can create for your own life because creating is not only about making things with our hands, creating is all about our life, we create everything.  We create our homes, our lives,
our jobs, our businesses.  We create our families.
Everything we do is a creation.
Do this because your dreams matter and you have worth and value, so pay attention to all the discoveries that you’ve made.

#194-Did You See Your Glass As Half Empty or Half Full This Year?

#194-Did You See Your Glass As Half Empty or Half Full This Year?

Did You See Your Glass As Half Empty or Half Full This Year?
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season even though we have New Year’s coming up and had a great month of December!
I hope you were able to listen to all the holiday wish episodes and if you didn’t have a chance, please go back and listen to them because I wanted to share some holiday wishes for you.  I hope you were able to receive those holiday wishes!
And, now with it being the last week in December 2021, I wanted to wrap things up for this year and ask you if you saw your glass half empty or half full.
We all know that this pandemic has affected so many people and their families in so many different ways, so what kind of attitude did you have this year?  Were you able to see your glass half empty or half full?
We all come from different backgrounds and have different personalities and everyone will choose how they want to see life.
Seeing the glass half empty or half full is just a metaphor for how you look at life and the things that go on in your own personal life.
I love this metaphor because it’s easy to understand.
Some people will look at the glass and see it as half empty and not realize that that’s how they look at their life, that they feel like they're missing out on things, or that their life has no meaning, or that bad things always happen to them.
But, if you could switch it around and look at your glass half full, you still have more goodness that you could put in your glass and into your life and work towards the desires of your heart.
I look at my glass as half full, and there are so many things I want to do and accomplish and places I want to travel to!
But, not 100% of the time, I have days or times throughout the year where I like life has too many trials going on or there’s too much stress where I’ll feel like the glass is half empty, and somebody took my water from my glass!
Then I think about it after and realize that I’m having a moment of frustration and exhaustion, so then I start to focus on how I want to live my life and the values that I have.
There’s a lot of good in the world and I want you to start looking at your glass as half full if you are one of those that look at it that way, and I want to invite you to switch it around and look at your glass as half full and be ready to fill it and enjoy the rest of your life.
We live in a world today where there are so many opportunities to fulfill your dreams, so take this opportunity now that we're at the end of the year and write in your journal-all the things you want
    to fill your cup with.
When you start fulfilling your dreams, it changes who you are and starts to radiate that happiness that you’ll be feeling.
Write out all your dreams and desires even the ones you’ve had since you were a child.  Don’t ever let yourself, talk yourself out of your dreams.
Share your dreams with someone who will cheer you on.
Do this for yourself today!  No, if, ands, or buts!

    #193-[Holiday Wish] GENEROSITY!

    #193-[Holiday Wish] GENEROSITY!

This Holiday Wish episode is on GENEROSITY.
AND, that is the holiday wish I want to share with you.
In episode #190, I talked about GIVING and how it’s so much
more than giving a gift and that it’s a two-way thing(for lack of better words). It should be reciprocal, that’s what we want
    anyway!
When you talk about generosity, it’s on a whole other level because generosity means to give liberally and not be selfish.
So, it’s very different than giving, like giving of your time.
How do you get to the point of being generous naturally
without having to think about it?
I have seen it and have gone through this before where there
are a lot of people who are not generous.  They have no desire
to give of their time, or their money, or to give a gift, and if they
    do it’s usually half-heartedly.
To be generous, you have to be confident in yourself that you
have enough because being generous is about giving as much
as you possibly can without reservation.  It’s about giving from your heart and not worrying about if you’re going to go bankrupt, or you’re going to lose your home or go hungry because you
    can’t pay your bills.
Generosity is what the whole world is based off-of like love,
where you have to have love and generosity in order to make
the world go-round and make society work.
I have met so many people who have so much generosity and love in their whole being, and they just ooze this generosity and they have so much love in them.
That’s exactly how my best friend is, she just has this love and kindness and generosity that just radiates from her, it’s not something that she has to try and do, it’s a gift that God gave
    her.
It’s easier to become better as I get older because I’ve learned from all my mistakes and the experiences I’ve had that have
    taught me great lessons.
I can give without worrying about if I have enough money in my bank account, or I don’t have to worry about if I give my money
or my time that I’ll be depleted.
Because generosity is the complete opposite of lack.
Think about it because it’s so easy to think about “me, me, me”
all the time and “what is it that I want”.  But the moment you
step outside of yourself, and serve someone and see how you
can lift someone else, the more it comes back to you.
It’s one of those things that you get what you give.
I want you to generous this holiday season and for the rest of
your life, and think about how you can get to that point of being generous naturally without you having to think about it because
it’s who you’ve become and who you are.
I like to look at what the Savior when He lived on the earth, and
He is a living God and I always think about how can I become
more like the Savior would want me to become, how can I follow
in His footsteps and how can I become a better person even though I’ll never reach perfection here on earth.
Go out and see how you can serve someone and be generous.
    Happy Holidays!
