This podcast is aimed in diving deeper into my passion project - be_a_ripple. Originally it started out as a journaling exercise for me after a traumatic event in my life. The name be_a_ripple was inspired by a quote from Eckhart Tolle to "be like a ripple on the surface of the ocean, realising that it is the ocean".

There is this misconception that spiritualty is all about light, love and positivity. In reality, it is a practice that deals with duality. Both light and dark. As we move through this world there are pieces of ourselves that we hide or suppress to survive. These subconscious aspects form our shadow selves. In order to live more authentically we need to dig up these shadow parts and bring them to back to light.

Our energetic bodies transmit a field around us called an aura. Our aura is almost like our energetic fingerprint - or our own set of northern lights. When you think of it - the act of balancing is actually a to-and-throw between opposites. This means being in balance includes both the "to" and the "throw". In life, we need to understand that this is applicable to our energy as well. We need to make room and be flexible when it comes to working with our energy. Most often than not, what seems right for us in the moment, trumps any routines/rules/boundaries we might have.
