The Case for a Universal Basic Income

The Case for a Universal Basic Income

Ever since about 1790, economic philosophers have puzzled over a question: "What are we going to do with all the surplus labor when machines do all the work?"

    My Stance on Cryptocurrencies

On a basic level, I'm kind of fond of cryptocurrency as a concept, simply because it's disrupted the story of money.

How Much Good Can One Person Really Do?

How Much Good Can One Person Really Do?

One of the reasons the world is in the state that it is, is because everybody mortgages what is really pulling at their heart to do something abstract. For the thing that they think they have to do for the numbers to work out.

Glimpses of Possibility: The Pain and Power

Glimpses of Possibility: The Pain and Power

The story reveals itself like this gigantic angelic being coming through the fog and sometimes the fog clears just enough to see one facet of it's wing, and it's so beautiful that if you saw the whole thing, you would have to turn away. Because it's painful to see what could be, something that beautiful, and to know that the world is so far from that. But once you've seen a possible future, you know it's real, and you know it can happen. All you need to know is "what's the next step?"

Inspiring resets

I’ve found this podcast really useful when on the edge of despair to reset my language and thoughts into that of the more beautiful world, into that of the living planet, of the new story of love and inter being . Thanks Charles

Insightful

I like what Charles has to say here. It brings together both his usual considered broad perspective and my own spiritual understandings, in relation to the changes we are experiencing on this planet at present. It gives a sense of purpose, of hope, of wholeness, and I think it offers something really valuable at a time when so many are despairing.
